NAPLES, Fla. — A woman who was hit in the head by a portion of a Fourth of July parade float has been airlifted to hospital in southwest Florida.
Naples Sgt. Joe Popka told the Naples Daily News that the woman was knocked unconscious by a portion of a float Saturday.
Popka said the float was being taken apart when the woman was struck in the head. Her name wasn't released.
A telephone message left with a Naples police spokesman was not immediately returned.
