Barron Collier High School opened in the fall of 1978 in Naples, Florida. It is located in Collier County on the southwest side of the state about 7 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. A high percentage of Barron Collier's students continue their education after graduation. Barron Collier is the top school academically in the county. The walls of the gym are covered with pictures and banners representing the many League, District, and State championships won. The Cougars are rated among the top ten schools in the state according to greatschools.net.

Our mission and fundamental beliefs were reviewed and revised during the 1999-2000 school year as part of a ten-year study for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  Students, parents, staff members, and community members--all participants in the educational process--were consulted.  Our hope is that all stakeholders in the school's mission will become active participants in the educational process.
